Is this a pate? My cat won't eat that stuff. All she will eat is wet foods with texture

Although it is a stew, it does have more of a pate texture as it's made for cats that prefer a smooth texture with exceptional flavor and palatability.
Why is there garlic powder in this? Is that ok for cats?

Step up From fancy feast
I think Halo is far better nutritionally than fancy feast which was my former cat food. My two cats are fairly picky but they will eat this flavor happily.

Senior cat loves it!
I tried many different wet cat food brands and flavors for my senior cat but she wouldn't eat them. I tried Halo and she loves it - eats every bite! Highly recommend - especially if you have a picky eater!

It's a favorite
I transitioned my overweight cat from dry to wet per my Veterinarian's request and instructions. CC clearly likes this best -- and it's high protein, low carb, which we were told is optimum. She went from 12.1 lbs to 8.3 and is a very healthy 12 years old kitty now.

Nicely formulated
I have a senior citizen cat who won't eat most things that are good for him. This one seems to help with that situation. Chewy makes it so easy to give my cats what they need and want.

A Big NO for my two cats
I goofed when I read through the ingredients of this cat food. Down the list is "salmon oil" and that is a big NO for my two cats...I missed this! One cat, who eats almost anything, detests fish in his food and would not eat this product. The other cat, a Maine Coon, has big digestive issues with anything containing fish...which will be a problem for a couple of days until his situation resolves, after eating a small amount of this food. Thus, I will be donating the remaining 11 cans of this product to a local cat shelter.

Gracie sorta likes it
I would give this 3.5 stars if I could. I bought it again because I had a few left over from several months ago and my cat, Gracie, was briefly excited about eating it again (if only for a few cans - she is pickier and pickier in her senior years). I take out the peas, green beans and any larger carrot pieces - those are more a human - hey, that's expected in stew! - ingredient list than what cats need nutritionally. In short, I'd say that it's not a bad food to try, and I wish they would at least take out the peas and green beans.

Cats Sniff and Walk Away
A couple of my cats used to eat the Halo Chicken Stew. Just ordered a 12 pack last week and none of them will even touch this stuff. Halo has changed something in their formula. Now they sniff the food and walk off. Even a stray that was eating it before, won't have anything to do with it. I wish these manufacturers would leave the food alone instead of changing the formula. You don't know until it arrives and then it's too late. This stuff is too expensive for them not to eat.

this is a winner
All three cats find Halo chicken stew to meet their very high standards, so it will be added to the rotation. They seem to like the small pieces of meat (all three are nearly toothless seniors) and I like that there's plenty of gravy to help keep them hydrated.
